Master Training Graduation

2/1/2015

Master Training

In a house full of boys there is always someone who is tackling someone else.  Apparently in our home there is also a very distinguished fighting training plan designed by Kade.
The younger boys have all been tutored by Kade and his fighting skills.  We'll look out the window and see Rhett throwing jabs at Kade or Kade teaching Rhett Max or Luke how to jump over a foot swipe.
It gets kind of intense from time to time, and someone will start crying..to which we often hear, "Masters don't cry" from someone (usually the one who doesn't want to be tattled on for abusing the other)

Kade said the system goes like this:

There are three classes.  In the first class there are 10 levels.   When you graduate from this level you get your spirit animal (the student asks for one and Kade decides in the end what they get--Rhett wanted to be a Cheetah-so, after all the decision making process--his assigned Spirit Animal was--THE CHEETAH!--he was pretty excited about that).  That spirit animal decides how they will fight. In the second class there are 5 levels. And the third level has just 1.  Then you graduate and you're a master.

One afternoon the buzz from the kids was all about how Rhett was graduating that day. Jess and me and Mom and Dad were all invited to attend the ceremony.  After all assemblying and getting our chairs out.  It went like this:

Kade: "Rhett, have you done all you needed to do, to be a level 7 master?"
Rhett: nods yes
Kade: "K--then your spirit animal is....a cheetah!"

The end.

Then they showed us his moves on the tramp.  HA! I love having boys.  They're so awesome.
